Total upheaval

This lovely room

Has been changed. I am still working on it as it is not as great as I wanted. The bookshelf and brown shelf on the right are gone and the contents are on a tall white bookshelf.

I was trying to make my books easier to get to. Have them all where I can see them. Some how I really got no more there than was before, well my magazines are on the bottom shelf instead of piles on the floor. But not really better. The shelf sits away from the wall and is  WHITE. So it all looked great, just no room for my books. Still no room and looks WHITE.

Humph.

So not as cute and homey as before, and the books are not double on the shelf. And yes I got rid of some. Need to read others I don’t see me having to keep either.

Thing is I kind of knew this would happen and I kind of hoped it would be great space. And I was right the first time.

I waned change so I am not going back to how it was even if it was cute. Too cluttered and I am on a kick to get things gone.

Mom cleared a TON to a local store on consignment today, and I have a storage full to get rid of. If you live close start checking Suzanna’s I have stickers and loads of good vintage is headed their way! '

Sorry this is long and only  a few pictures, I am not happy with the shelf so I want to get it more fixed before I show it. I would love to cover the back. Paper or cloth? All the same or different for each self. I would also like to add some of my boxes to the  shelf to help break it up.

Any suggestions would be great!

Life interrupted

Due to this

Well they fought and I lost my connection, Ok so the storms knocked it out, but this is funnier.

And my mother is on meds for a bad back, lots of help needed there. She cannot drive on these meds.

And I had to work.

Long boring excuse to say I will be back to blogging soon I promise!!

Pink Puppy!

This week for Pink Saturday I will share my pink puppy.

Ok so Molly isn’t pink but her special new sweater  Jumper is!

Molly was lucky enough to have a friend Ami in England whose mom made her this custom sweater Jumper!

Her mom Midge is the master mind behind Soggibottom Bears.

She is a super fun blogger!

Molly’s hair is a bit poofy so she looks squeezed into her Sweater! Ooops their is Spunky’s foot in the corner. Poor boy. No sweater Jumper for him. He won’t wear them☺

Look at the detail in this. It has a turtle neck with white stripes♥

I just love it and even though it is warm here in NC she wore it around all night. Had to show it off. ☺

Woo-Hoo Wednesday!

I will start this week with a goodie I left of my thrifty post!

 

Ok not the whole set, but the small fruit bowl in Scarlet, I got 2 of them for $.54!!

Yes that is right 2 $7.50 pieces were on sale for $5.25 each and a $10 coupon!

Woo-Hoo!

I need a 4th color to finish my set and I was so glad when they released a red again!!

Next I am going to dedicate more time to reading. I am joining Un-plug for the summer. No worries, it is only one day of the week. I will use Tuesday my day off and Un-plug!

My reading today has taken me to this

I am HOOKED!!! I am rushing through it like I love to do. A good book that really gets me is my favorite!!

Karen is a lovely person and is working on her 2nd book now! YEAH!! I will be done soon and will want another!

You can go to her blog, The English Writer, for ways to order her book. Only way I found to get it in the US, But it was very reasonable even with shipping from the UK!

It is a little risqué so if you don’t like that please skip, but it is a really great love story!

Thrifty Me

I have been very thrifty lately. Had to for many reasons but it is still good to know I can do it and get so much!

These were half price this week and I can handle them at $2! Yummy!

 

These are great and very handy for many uses! I have been wanting one to hold small goodies while crafting. My local Good Will had one that is white (I was thinking I’d love it pink anyway) and it was a whopping $.69! ☺

I received a book of Proctor & Gamble coupons. Really good ones most are $1. I was getting low on toothpaste

and deodorant

 

and lets face it I cannot go with out these, and I was lucky that the coupons were $.75 and $.50. At the local grocery they double coupons every day! So my toothpaste was $.99 and the double pack of deodorant was $3.49! Now I am good for a while and can keep my friends ;)

  

This sweet little girl was at a local Hallmark sidewalk sale! She was $3! She doesn’t have wings but is still cute, and not broken in any other way! I have wanted one for a while.

Maybe being on a really strict budget isn’t all that bad. I got things I was looking for in a really easy way that were better in price anyway.

It is kind of fun to think of it as a game instead of something you have no choice but to do.

My work space!

Ok don’t freak out I barely post twice a week and now two in one day!!

I was blog hopping and found this cool blog that is having a fun party!!

Workspace Wednesday!

I have been rearranging and making room for all my goodies and the laptop in my room. I was excited to have a fun way to show it to you!

Here is all my stuff, stuffed in the space I have,

Books, magazines, crafting, writing, bill paying, pencils, pens markers and really great finds I cannot hide.

I have planters, pink depression glass, baskets, boxes, shakers, milk glass, pretty up cycled cans, book ends from the dollar spot at Target, and I made my laptop fit!

The printer is under the enamel top table I am using for a desk. Great Suzanna’s find. it is on my vintage suitcases that hold many crafting items. I keep everything anymore that might make a fun project.

My chair is a curbside cutie. It holds my purse which always needs a spot.

Best part is this all sits in the middle of my great treasures. I have words and sayings that hang over me that inspire me.

Love, Believe, Delight, Create, Pray, Remember, Fabulous.

Good words to see everyday.

I have pretty candles and a lamp that keep me in the light and even though Pink is really here I have it all. This really is me. All of my things together in one spot.

I am happy here. I am glad I can spend time with you here!

She has moved to sunny California and was cleaning out. Lucky Me!
