I am really enjoying the retro look of my furniture!

Pink Cupcakes

I love pink cupcakes

They are super duper cute!

I must confess that I don’t really make cupcakes :(

I know they are easy, I just am not a baker. I can  cook and enjoy it but cakes and cookies are not my thing.

There are super fun ways to use these even if not for cupcakes.

Skirts on mice

Around nut cups for party favors,

To organize small items in drawers or a box,

to catch dripping popsicles,

Well they are super handy!

What fun to be in an official group to celebrate the sisterhood of Blogging!

Our lovely Founder Karen has been so kind to get us all together and give us a spot to start! 

Our logo is way cool!

So here is my rush project!

We were challenged to use our logo to make a project!

I was thinking for the last few weeks with no real plan until last night (yes last minute) and thought about decorating a journal.

What a better place to save memories of my friends and the times we share :)

I made it with fun items I was given by blog friends!!

I love the shiny paper I printed it on really helps the Diamonds shine!

 

Back cover, I liked the different papers but had trouble with my edges, well it is mine ;)

Inside front cover to be filled in, I have learned a lot so it will be more than 10 when I write them down.

I thought this was a great “ending” to my journal!

Woo-Hoo 300th Post!

I cannot believe I have 300 posts!

I have been slowing down but still got here!

Before I get to my post I would like to once again gush about all you great  ladies that share yourselves with me daily here in blogland.

Over my 300 posts the neighborhood has changed, people in, people out, our lives change, we move, we have new family  members, we have lost family members. It has been happy, exciting, scary and sad at times but we are still here and all getting to be better friends because of these events we all have in our lives.

Thanks guys, this has been my best project I have ever endeavored to do.

Now a real post as I know you hate it when I gush too much;)

I have several projects/challenges for myself lately and one is reading these books

They are really fun. Written like a television episode where you start with the mystery and go on to find the clues with the great leading Character. I can identify with her somewhat and they are set in Scotland♥ so I am really enjoying them. I have to get through them as I want to read them before they are due back to the library!

I hope to have another Woo-Hoo Wednesday post when I get them finished!

My work space!

Ok don’t freak out I barely post twice a week and now two in one day!!

I was blog hopping and found this cool blog that is having a fun party!!

Workspace Wednesday!

I have been rearranging and making room for all my goodies and the laptop in my room. I was excited to have a fun way to show it to you!

Here is all my stuff, stuffed in the space I have,

Books, magazines, crafting, writing, bill paying, pencils, pens markers and really great finds I cannot hide.

I have planters, pink depression glass, baskets, boxes, shakers, milk glass, pretty up cycled cans, book ends from the dollar spot at Target, and I made my laptop fit!

The printer is under the enamel top table I am using for a desk. Great Suzanna’s find. it is on my vintage suitcases that hold many crafting items. I keep everything anymore that might make a fun project.

My chair is a curbside cutie. It holds my purse which always needs a spot.

Best part is this all sits in the middle of my great treasures. I have words and sayings that hang over me that inspire me.

Love, Believe, Delight, Create, Pray, Remember, Fabulous.

Good words to see everyday.

I have pretty candles and a lamp that keep me in the light and even though Pink is really here I have it all. This really is me. All of my things together in one spot.

I am happy here. I am glad I can spend time with you here!

The boys spent Saturday night and had a great time. This is Sunday morning and Molly joined them to watch tv.

How cool to have an idea for the cups and cozies! I have loads of coffee cups to use when I go buy cups of coffee, and they are 60% of the time at home when I do! I am trying to keep one in my car but they have to be washed so it isn’t as easy as running out and putting bags back in my car. I am trying!!! But I will keep the cups I do get from now on! I love this idea!

I finished my tiny dollar store bulletin board.

It’s pink, of course!

I use it for all my business cards from the sweet and lovely online ladies that sell me wonderful things that make me smile!

It will go in my room!

My mother and stepfather are looking for a place of their own. We are hoping the spot next door will be ready in the next few months and they will be right there. It would nice to be close but not as close as we are now. hehe

I am excited about using my bedroom suite and spreading out my other treasures into the whole extra bedroom. I am making lists!!

My room will be more country and the the new room will be pink shabby chic/retro! It will look like a junked up mess just like the rest of my house but I will try to have only two styles in one room!

I also got stir crazy while flipping channels I came across a laptop on QVC and had a semi-impulse buy. I have been looking and researching laptops, netbooks, etc, for at least 8 months and this one had all the features I wanted at a price I could afford so I did it!

Then after I did thinking maybe I could have done better and have searched but really cannot find one better in my price range! It is sadly not pink. But the pink ones cost too much or were too small. As it is my only computer I want to do everything on it and not just the internet.

So what has everybody else been up to?
