It's Finally Here!

I am very excited about tonight!

I hope everyone is having a great week and I will be back soon with pictures of the apartment. Life is still happening and I never have wifi access when I need it, I will try and do my post on Live Writer so I can post when I have access!

Tomorrow is my 42nd Birthday and I am going to see Harry Potter!

I will see it again this weekend with my aunt and grandmother, as my family is in LOVE with the series!

ps Today is my Mom’s 61st Birthday♥

My weekend

 

I have been fighting this. Some stupid tracking program wouldn’t let my computer send out info. I had no email for 2 days!!

Finally figured out what it was and got my antivirus to unload the dang thing! YUCK!

I also helped my sister move her family into their new home. I haven’t seen them at all today. Mixed emotions but I don’t miss the 3 hours of screaming that started at 9 pm every night.

I have tomorrow off and will once again feel guilty I have not made a dentist appointment for one of the many things I need to have done. Need to get on that before my teeth start hurting! YUCK!

The gown is long but I think the shoes will still be a hit.

Woo-Hoo Wednesday!

This Woo-Hoo Wednesday is dedicated to my oldest Nephew Christopher

Yes he is that big!!! I know I cannot believe 11 years ago today I was an Auntie for the first time!

Here he is with his Avatar character. We took him to dinner and on a tour of the book stores. Barnes and Noble and Borders. He got a load! Duke books and The Kingdom Keepers. He is starting the series and very excited. His Duke mag and book and Avatar went home with him but the Kingdom Keepers is here with his Harry Potter book! I am going to have to have a shelf just for him!

Pink Saturday

Hello Pinkies and Welcome to my first Anniversary with Pink Saturday.

Big Thanks to Beverly @ How Sweet the Sound for starting this meme so we can all meet and enjoy Pink every week.

I have met so many lovely people in my first year blogging all thanks to Pink Saturday.

It started with one question. As I was looking on ebay for Easter goodies I came across some lovely felted creations by Laurie @ Charming Designs. I won one of her sweeties and in corresponding she asked me “Do you have a blog?” This got me thinking, usually a dangerous thing, and I had recently visited a friend’s blog and loved what she shared and how she shared it. Ginger @ bearbits is an amazing bear artist and has the super best imagination so I knew I would love her blog. I also can never have as cool a blog as Ginger but I can try!

Then I made a list of things to talk about found  blogger used my new identity  “pupylov “  I wrote a post from my list (only 2 on list have made it so far) and sent an email to all my list and waited. Laurie was so sweet and ran right over and started following and sent me emails on what else I should do. Pictures, and join a meme. She suggested Pink Saturday which I had seen when I visited Cathy’s site and so I got Beverly’s info, made a pink post and anxiously waited for the list to come up that morning to  started visiting.  I visited and had others visit me. This led me to my fairy blogmother Ann. She was so sweet and sent me emails offering help before I knew I needed it!  Ann was just the first in many of the best friends I never met! Well actually I have some local and have met a few! Still more to add I am at 250+ blogs I follow and 152 followers. I maxed out and had to move some store blogs to Google reader to make room!

Thank you, all of you old and new. I am a better person for sharing the last year with you and it just gets better. I would LOVE to list you all but if you go to my sidebar they are there. Everyone of them are priceless.

I am so glad to join for another year and look forward to the new friends I will meet each week at Pink Saturday!

What's in a Name

Sares at Loveliegh Treasures wants us to share names and where they came from.

What fun!

 

Since it is my Birthday today I'll share about my name.

Lisa Ann

The Lisa was so I wouldn't be named after any one in the family. The story I got was my dad went to the store to get my mom something she was craving at the time and a few ladies were discussing As the World Turns.

If any of you remember that show in the 70's or even 80's there was a great character with the name Lisa she was on for many many many years and main character for most of those years. Apparently in 1968 she was getting married a lot and topic of conversation!

So when he got home he asked if mom liked the name. Now keep in mind he didn't know anything about the show and mom thought it was funny when he told what he'd heard!

My Ann is my mother's middle name and the name of her mother's oldest sister. Ann was dead by the time I was born so it was many many many years before I really made the connection.

Another really good part is Mom wanted me named Kimberly Louise! I think Kim is just as common as Lisa so I would have been fine with that one too!

My nickname that was given to me by two people who never even knew each other is Sunshine!

So I really like that Typepad randomly picked this one for me!

House Update

So the enamel top table is in place and cleaned up. I got my shelves out of storage (and the laundry room) and hung them to give me more space to display.

Funny how this long one is the perfect length of the table! I knew I kept it for some reason!

Sorry I get excited when I can justify my hoarding.

These two little ones have been in storage for 4 years. I have used them only for about a month. My sister has two more at her house so Cupcake can have a wall with her treasures!

All of these lovely treasures were in or on the secretary that is still sitting in the middle of my living room floor. I hope to get it to storage soon. The rain has stopped so I hope to go tomorrow.

We had a hurricane for most of the week and are a bit soggy here in NC.

 

Here is another peek at some Christmas goodies.  And spray paint. hehe I think I'll keep it but it is satin and I need gloss to paint my two old chairs to go with my two new chairs and table.

I didn't take pictures of the kitchen. Still a work in progress but usable again! Yea!

More to come. Thanks for bearing with me. I'm working on it all but the time change and darkness have really made me exhausted most days lately.

Happy Birthday Memi!!

Happy Birthday my Sweet baby boy!!

Memphis will be 5 today! He is the baby boy in our family!

I have 5 nephews!!

We took Memi to the fair with us and had a great time!
