Are you ready???

Honeslty what does that really mean? Ready for what the whole thing to be over? I have always been so deflated after Christmas, it is OVER, all the build up actually seems better than the day. And can you really be ready. Presents wrapped, food cooked, or did you throw a few gifts under the tree you found hidden in the closet when you went to get your good robe you are going to wear for the pictures, or if you forget, one of the 12 dishes you were going to make for Christmas dinner will it be that bad?

I don't hate Christmas, but really love the "Season" because it lasts longer. I have a mom that stress over all the "undone" things and then cannot enjoy any of it.

Please all my lovely friends don't stress it will all happen and it will be a memory of all that gathered and not really what was not done. Enjoy the moment and the time it will all be great, honestly letting go is hard especially for us women but how much nicer life is when you do.

So have the Happiest of Christmases and remember why we celebrate and it really puts all the hoopla in to perspective.
Merry Christmas
Hugs, Lisa

  1. Well said Lisa! I am not stressing this year because we decided not to buy gifts. We all feel we have everything...oh there are wants but we get get those ourselves after Christmas when everything is on sale. haha! I love your background btw, I am a fan of polka dots. Oh TEAM EDWARD, lol!

  2. You know what? I decorate and craft all through Thanksgiving and December. Then on Christmas I usually just sit around and do nothing!

  3. Lisa, I haven't visited you in so long! All of your decorations look great, and I'm with you on loving the season, but the actual day can be so stressful. I'm playing catch-up all week, and by Christmas day, I will heave a sigh of relief!
    Merry Christmas!

  6. I agree with you, friend! This year, I'm not stressing either. I will have my precious family around me celebrating the birth of our Savior, whether I get everything done in time or not! It's all good! May you have a blessed Christmas with those you love!

  8. But what if you don't even want to gather? Ha-ha! I want to crawl in a hole with some Christmas cookies and be left alone! :) For so many years, it was just Bobby, Micah and me. Easy peasy! But now? I don't quite know how to fit in all these (wonderful) others that I'm near again. Honestly, I'm just not that maternal memory making mom! Weird huh? I'm just a loner! oh well, thatnks for the encouragemnt, Lisa! ♥
