I am not lost

Well sort of not lost ;)

I am lost in books♥

I have been feverishly reading. I get in obsessive periods and right now I am reading a book a day! Well until I hit this one

47437481

I was told it is amazing and I don’t mind it just not drawing me as much,

I read this one

5134AEFX5PL._SS500_

Really loved it!

I am reading this series but the library has me on hold as I cannot get the next book! Not brain teasers and skim through a lot of stories I don’t really like but good.

70615466

I have read all that are published in this series

29525137

Not such great mysteries but I do like the characters

And I have these

7436332

I have two in the series and  This is the first and I got the 3rd or so on a bargain table. Just guess I need to start!

50769684

I have this too and a growing collection of books that center around food and cooking but none of these really seem to have me inspired.

59686857

Has anyone read this one?

I don’t have it but would like to know if it is a good read.

I am waiting on two of my favorite authors to publish again but it will be 2011 before their new ones are out :(

And I will whittle away at The Forgotten Garden!

If you liked any of these please let me know and if you have any suggestions I really like fiction with a sense of Fun. NOT a Nicholas Sparks fan (I know they are lobbying to through me out of NC for this) and I think I am not a fan of Male authors, more often than not they don’t have happy endings.

Yes I really don’t read the silly romance books but I have to have a Happy Ever After ;)

Anyway I will be decorating for fall this holiday weekend so I will have pics next week♥

Hugs, Lisa

  3. Hi Lisa,
First, thank you for leaving such a sweet and heartfelt message at my blog...
Second, my hubby wrote a great book, The Spirit Trail Of Nora Applegate. He went with a terrible publisher and it is hard to find, but your library might have it. Those that have read it love it...I do, but then the writer is my hubby....it is a story of a half breed Indian girl who is an orphan and her life growing up and in the West ... it is a historial novel...

  4. I haven't read a book in a very long time. I am going to have to read Water for Elephants. I have seen that many blogger friends are reading or have read it.
    Happy Reading

  5. Read Water for Elephants,Alexander McCall Smith books love the characters too. Try to find the book "Salvation on Sand Mountain" by Dennis Covington. Kingsolver "Poison Wood Bible" is good. Mauve Binchy is good too. I have read the Twilight Books, didn't want too but every one kept saying how good they are. They were good and I am glad I read them. The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls is good too.

  6. Hi Lisa, Thanks for stopping by. You're now entered in the giveaway! I love to read, but after all is done, by the time I get to read I'm out like a light...no old jokes either ;)
I love the Gothic Romance and yes those girly books with burly guy sweepin the woman away on the cover.
LOL seems lately all I've been reading is shelter mags, blogs, and a little Joyce Meyer...what a mix.

  7. Hi Lisa,

How neat that you have been finding time for some reading.
I got some reading done while on holiday, but often don't have as much time as I would like, at home.
I read Peter Mayles book, Tourjours Provence.

    Happy September

  9. I'm usually not interested in current fiction, it's the happy ending thing, and I don't like to read about everybody hopping in the sack . . . old fashioned, I know . . . :) but that's me, what can I say? I think we might have similar tastes, so I wonder . . . have you read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society? You will love it!
Several years ago, I was commuting, and I think I listened to almost every one of Miss Read's books on tape. Yes, tape. That tells you something about the time, doesn't it? I love her!
One more suggestion . . . I read this woman's blog . . . just love her, she reviews tons of books, if it's a genre that I like, and she likes it. I do to. http://randomjottings.typepad.com/
Hope you find lots of wonderful books!

  10. I am so glad there are still book lovers around! Not books on a device. But actual books. I so don't want to see an end to these treasures that have transported me through journeys all of my reading life.

  11. Keep reading Lisa. I admit the start is a bit daft.... even I picked holes in it :-)
But it gets better, good twist at the end :-)
Not sure what book I am going to pick up next, but I had better buy two copies :-) x x x
