I'm going to see Harry Potter
I'm going to see Harry Potter
I'm going to see Harry Potter!!!!!

Ok I've gotten some of this out of my system!!! In one week at this time I will have seen Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!!!!
As you can tell I LOVE Harry Potter!!!!!
It started with the movies than I read books one through six and that was it! JK Rowling is my hero!!!!! She gave little boys big books that they wanted to read AND that their parents, grandparents, aunts, cousins, babysitters ALSO want to read!!!! If you haven't read them you should. If you have you will probably understand why I'm so excited. The books are finished so all we have are the movies and they are coming to completion soon!!
SO Thanks for hanging in there with me while I have my Harry Potter fit!!! It's been a long time coming as WB decided to change the release from last November (my birthday week to be exact! I had to celebrate my 40th without Harry!!!!) so I'm really really really ready to see this one!!!
My Aunt bought the tickets for opening day tonight online after I called to say I that news reports are that they are sold out in over 500 theaters!!! I'm not the only crazy person out there!! And I think a few of my bloglanders are excited too!!
Hugs, Lisa

I am a big Harry Potter fan too. I have all the books and movies. My Hubby likes it too.
ReplyDeleteSad to say I can't go to the theaters because I feel closed in at those places so I have to wait til the movie comes out on dvd. I hope you have lots of fun when you go.

ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE this post :) I haven't read any of the Harry Potter books, but I have seen all of the movies and I LOVE them all, my boys and I were just saying how much we want to see this latest movie. My boys have all the books and they have read and re-read them often.
Hugs,
Toni
I must sit myself down to read those books. I think I might be the only person in the world to have not read them. Maybe I will put that on my short to do list for august. Glad your happy about your movie. Little things.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you! Harry Potter is a favorite of mine too. I've been meaning to read the book again before I see the movie, but then sometimes I tend to critique what they left out or changed. I may not see the movie until it comes out on DVD anyway. You'll have to give me every last detail after you've seen it. I thought my sister and I were the only two grown women that were crazy for these books/movies. I'm so glad I found a fellow addict I'm not related to. What was your favorite book and movie so far? For me, the book was #4, Goblet and the first movie is still my favorite. The sheer magical imagery and the Harry Potter world brought to life gets me every time. The third movie and those that follow tend to be a bit darker to fit the darker moods of the book I guess, but I prefer more brightness to my movies, with vivid colors or they can get a bit gloomy. Am I rambling? Sorry! Can't wait for the review next week!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!! Have fun at the movie!!! Totally agree with you here, we adults stood in line waiting for the books for ourselves as much as the kids!! :)

Me Too!
ReplyDeleteMe Too!
ME TOO!!!!
We bought our tickts last week to our tiny local theater for the midnight premier. We did the same thing for the last movie and we dressed up too! I was Mrs. Weasley, Holly was Tonks and Jesse was Harry. We are going to dress up again. I want to be someone different even though I fit the Mrs. Weasley character very well....Who should I be? Hey, that might make a good post!!

I'm so embarrassed...I've not read one single book of Harry Potter nor have I seen any of the films! I know....put me in blocks but I am going to devote the next two months to reading the books (like former First Lady, Laura Bush did)and watching the films or else I will be ridiculed and looked at with such scorn...lol!
ReplyDeleteDeanna :D
Hi Lisa...my hubby and the kids can't wait to see it either.
ReplyDeleteI also CAN'T WAIT!!!!!! I'm taking my boys to a Harry Potter event at the library this weekend so we will be READY!!!!
ReplyDeleteWith a SPOOOON! ☺
ReplyDeleteYou know, I know they can't put every detail into the movies, but those movies are seriously the only ones I've seen that have every detail JUST how I picture it from the book! And I think they follow the books pretty well, too. I think the author has a lot of say-so about what goes in there so I'm sure that helps. HAVE FUN, GIRL!! Go crazy, buy some popcorn and candy, too!! :)
ReplyDeletetee hee - look at you! my husband is also very excited.
ReplyDeletei saw daniel radcliffe last night on david lettermen. seems very sweet.
have fun!!!
