I am Six.
I am a city kid.
I live at the Plaza Hotel.
I love Eloise.
She was created in 1955 by Kay Thompson.
She was so wonderfully brought to life by Hilary Knight.
“Pink. It’s a way of Life.”
As you can tell from this original illustration Pink was the only color used in the books.
Have I told you I LOVE the 1950’s!
Every thing about Eloise is wonderful!
Her room!
(from Disney’s Eloise at the Plaza)
It’s Pink!
Her dog
Weenie is the best dog in the world!
Eloise is a girl who knows what she likes and what she wants and she is determined that everyone else will have what they want and like too!
I want to be Eloise!
Please visit Beverly for more Pinks!
Happy Pink Saturday!
Hugs, Lisa
ps The girl who played Eloise, Sofia Vassilieva, was the oldest daughter in “My Sister’s Keeper! “
And

ReplyDeleteHi Lisa...
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loved the Eloise movie..... There were a few lines in that got repeated over and over. She's a comedian like that. :-)
I just "read" "My Sister's Keeper"......well, sort of read, I listened to it in my car. Try driving through a sloppy cry! It was soooo sad.
Happy Spring to you too! Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Weekend too.
Hugs,
Spencer
I've always loved Eloise, too!

Hello, sweet friend,
ReplyDeleteI have never read this book. As a former school teacher, you think I would have. I am going to check it out from my former school library and also try to see the movie. I love things with happy endings. I hope you have the loveliest of weekends! Vicki
Fabulous! These books are new to me - what a fun character, and I just love the style of illustration as well. I'll have to see if our local library has them. Happy Pink Saturday!
