Thoughts for today…

I was trying to rest while watching Julie & Julia when I just HAD to start my first Valentine project. A door hanging. I bought one at Halloween and have been determined to have one from now on. I made this one for Christmas

Since I started my paper crafting craze last year at Valentines Day I have a load of stuff to use already.

These are sets I got at Michaels. I had loved the whole selection and when it was closed out I was lucky enough to get several of the pieces I really liked. All which would make great Valentine projects.

This is what my Molly and her friend Lollipop were doing as I am getting out a selection of items to see about using. They are helpful as you can see.

This set seems to have the best stuff. Not sure I’m going with the French theme but it could work.

But look at the Bingo card and one of the small ovals says J’tame!

This will work!

A second look through the papers and I find that I like these with my new theme.

Not sure exactly what it will all turn into but it is coming along

Back into the boxes goes the first round of eliminations

The stamps and ink will have to stay out awhile longer

I think this will turn out nicely. The hard part is almost over.

Now I have to go back and find my place in the movie and finish watching it and I think I will finish my dinner from last night of Mexican dip! I planned, shopped and cooked a whole dinner. I will admit I have done it before, but not since I started working at the hospital. I don’t really get in and settled until 7pm and I just want quick and easy by then! Thanks to Trader Joes my dinner was a success! Got pretty pink roses CHEEP too! OH forgot the picture!

Also why I don’t have a post about my Christmas presents. I won 3 giveaways that arrived Christmas week and got really great stuff at home too. I’ll get it together!

I am off this weekend. The puppies go home today so I may work on projects as they will not let me sleep! Sunday I WILL sleep!

I also need to start looking for my heart box for my Valentine swap. I cannot get the stuffing until I find out my partners, color choice!

I really need to sit down with a notebook and my plan for the new year. Lots of changes coming and if I write them down they don’t all have to play in my head all the time!!

I named thoughts for today and I hope you enjoy your nap after you read this!

Hugs, Lisa

  1. Hello friend,
Thanks for becoming a follower. I , too, have lots of paper and pretty goodies for crafts. I just don't seem to get around to making many pretty things. So....I, too, decided to sign up for the Valentine Swap. Hopefully, it will make me get off my "duff".

    Blessings,

    Jo

  11. Hi Lisa! Looks like your valentine project is well underway. Did you like Julie and Julia? I loved the movie!I thought Meryl Streep was just amazing!!! Wasn't crazy about the book though.
In Answer to your question...nope not you! Your blog is darling and I'm pretty sure when you use something you have either taken something the was supposed to be taken or given credit....And there is plenty out there that is free. This gal is actually using my Thanks for Following my blog image. I created it in scrap blog... so there is no question where it came from. The funny thing is that she has never commented on any of my posts and isn't one of my followers. I just came across her blog through a end of year review party. Any who... It really pushed my buttons...as you can see! :)

I hope you are enjoying the New Year!!
